Embodiment Construction
[0012] A preferred embodiment of the lid gasket 1 is in figure 1 shown in . The gasket comprises a plurality of sheets, or crown-shaped discs, stacked one on top of the other with alternating metal 2 and non-metal 3 . The metallic sheet 2 consists of steel, preferably stainless steel, while the non-metallic sheet 3 consists of graphite or PTFE. According to a preferred embodiment, the graphite is a high-density type of graphite, the density of which is in particular greater than 1.5 g / cm 3 . The higher density results in lower porosity of the graphite, which prevents internal leakage and therefore improves the sealing ability of the lid gasket. The sheets are held together by disposing an adhesive between each pair of consecutive sheets, wherein the adhesive is applied in the form of a spray. The sprayed adhesive consisted of a dispersion of natural adhesives and resins in: naphtha (<50%), cyclohexane (<25%), liquefied propane gas (25%), isobutane ( <25%) and acetone (<10...
