Abstract

The embodiment of the invention discloses a method and a device for planning physical cell identities (PCI), so as to avoid the PCI collision and reduce the interference of reference signals. The method of the embodiment of the invention comprises the following steps: acquiring the interference information among base stations; assigning different Vshift groups according to the interference information, i.e., assigning the corresponding Vshift to the cell in each base station; clustering the base stations according to the relation of physical positions of the base stations; assigning the PCI group to the base station in the non-multiplexing cluster and assigning the PCI to the cell in the base station; calculating the score of each PCI group, assigning the PCI group with the score thereof meeting the preset conditions to the base station in the multiplexing cluster, and assigning the PCI to the cell in the base station. The embodiment of the invention further provides a device for planning the PCI.
