The method comprises the following steps: scanning a two-dimensional barcode picture saved in a user mobile terminal to acquire bank account information of the user; verifying identity of the user according to the bank account information; and carrying out financial transactions after the identity verification is passed. The terminal comprises a two-dimensional barcode scanning module, an identity verification module and a financial transaction module. In embodiment of the invention, financial transactions are performed by adopting the electronic two-dimensional barcode picture saved in the mobile terminal instead of the conventional magnetic stripe bank card, so that the security of the financial transactions is improved.
