Embodiment

[0102] Hereinafter, the present invention is described in detail through embodiments of the present invention.

[0103] Welded metal joints of composition shown in Tables 1 and 2 were fabricated by FCAW with welding heat input of 7-30 kJ / cm or higher.

[0104] Test pieces were cut from the middle part of the welded metal joints and subjected to tensile tests and CTOD tests, and the results are shown in Table 3.

[0105] Test piece No. 4 according to KS B 0801 was used as a test piece for a tensile test performed at a slider speed of 10 mm / min.

[0106] The CTOD specimens were manufactured according to BS7448-1 specification, and the fatigue crack was located in the middle of the SAW welded metal joint.

[0107] The size, number and spacing of oxides, which have a significant impact on the CTOD performance of welded metal joints, were measured using an image analyzer and an electron microscope according to the point counting method. The results are shown in Table 3.

Abstract

The present invention relates to a weld metal joint subjected to flux cored arc welding (FCAW) used for weld structures, such as ships, buildings, bridges, marine structures, steel pipes, and line pipes, and a steel member having the weld metal joint, and more particularly, to a flux cored arc weld (FCAW) metal joint having excellent CTOD properties at low temperature and a steel member having the FCAW metal joint. A flux cored arc weld metal joint having excellent CTOD properties at low temperature may include, by weight: 0.01 to 0.2% C, 0.1 to 0.5% Si, 1.0 to 3.0% Mn, 0.5 to 3.0% Ni, 0.01 to 0.1% Ti, 0.0010 to 0.01% B, 0.005 to 0.05% Al, 0.003 to 0.006% N, at most 0.03% P, at most 0.03% S, 0.03 to 0.07% O, the FCAW metal joint satisfying a relation of 0.7<=Ti / O<=1.3, 6<=Ti / N<=12, 7<=O / B<=12, and 1.2<=(Ti+4B) / O<=1.9, and the balance of Fe and unavoidable impurities, the FCAW metal joint including a microstructure having acicular ferrite of 85% or more and at least one of the balance of bainite, grain boundary ferrite, and polygonal ferrite. A steel member includes the metal weld joint. According to the invention, there is provided a flux cored arc weld metal joint having a high- strength property and CTOD properties at low temperatures and a steel member having the metal weld joint.

Description

technical field [0001] The present invention relates to flux-cored arc welding (FCAW) welded metal joints for welding structures such as ships, buildings, bridges, marine structures, steel pipes and pipes, and steel members having said welded metal joints, more particularly , relates to flux cored arc welded (FCAW) metal joints having excellent CTOD properties at low temperatures and steel members having said FCAW metal joints. Background technique [0002] Recently, due to the continuous rise in oil prices, more and more offshore structures are being built and used in cold regions. The steel components used are required to have high strength and high CTOD performance at low temperature. [0003] The CTOD performance of welded joints in offshore structures is an extremely important factor to ensure the stability of offshore structures. [0004] Typically, flux cored arc welding on offshore structures uses a heat input in the range of about 7-25 kJ / cm. [0005] Generally, ...
