The invention relates to a connection terminal and an AC adapter that can increase the reliability of the electrical connection between a terminal and a connection terminal by ensuring the holding of the terminal inserted in the connection terminal. A connection terminal includes an n-shaped frame body (41); first elastic contact pieces (43, 44) provided on a part of frame body (41) on one side from which the terminal (22) is to be inserted and having respective first contact parts (67, 71) configured to contact the peripheral surface of the terminal (22); second elastic contact pieces (45, 46) provided on the frame body on a first side from which the terminal (22) is to be inserted and having respective second contact parts (69, 72) configured to contact the peripheral surface of the terminal (22), the second contact parts (69, 72) being positioned to face the first contact parts (67, 71); and a third elastic contact piece (48) provided on the frame body on a second side opposite to the first side and configured to contact an end portion of the terminal (22).
