A method and a terminal for sending Rank Indication(RI) information using an uplink subframe are provided by the present invention. Wherein, the method includes: a User Equipment (UE) acquires a group K including several k values according to the current ratio of uplink and downlink, and detects whether a downlink subframe occupies a Physical Downlink Control Channel (PDCCH) and an aggregation degree of a Control Channel Element (CCE) occupying the PDCCH, wherein m is an index of the group K; and the UE acquires logical resources indexes impliedly included by a Physical Uplink Control Channel (PUCCH) according to the downlink subframe occupying the PDCCH and the aggregation degree of the CCE; when the aggregation degree is greater than 1, the UE sends an RI information to a base station on an uplink subframe through the PUCCH by selecting physical resources corresponding to any logical resources index impliedly included by the PUCCH.
