Abstract

The invention discloses a block boundary detecting method and a block boundary detecting device. Subsequent processing can be performed aiming at the block boundary in an image so as to avoid affecting other normal regions in the image, wherein the block boundary detecting method can be applied for processing the image, and a plurality of pixels are contained in the frame content of the image. The block boundary detecting method comprises the following steps of: (a) performing a difference calculation on an equal pixel of the image; (b) producing statistical data in an accumulative manner according to the result of the difference calculation; (c) determining the width of a block according to the statistical data; and (d) obtaining a plurality of block boundary positions corresponding to the image according to the block width.
