Abstract

The invention provides a difference analysis method and a difference analysis device for electronic maps. The method comprises the following steps of: acquiring map element data of a first map and map element data of a second map, wherein the map element data comprises a difference identifier corresponding to a predetermined difference element, and the difference identifier is set when the corresponding difference element is established, and uniquely identifies the existence of the difference identifier when the corresponding difference element exists; comparing the difference identifier in the first map and the difference identifier in the second map to obtain a first comparison result; and determining a difference comparison result of the first map and the second map according to the first comparison result, wherein the difference comparison result comprises a newly added difference element in the second map and/or a difference element deleted from the first map. The method is simple and reliable, and the difference comparison result can be quickly provided for a user.
