The virtual CE module also can transmit the first MAC address routing messages carrying the first MAC address information to the other virtual client edge modules in the same virtual private network by the extended routing protocol. The virtual CE module also can receive, by the extended routing protocol, the second MAC address routing messages released respectively by the other virtual CE modules, wherein the second MAC address routing messages carries the second MAC address information within the sites that the client edge nodes belong to, and the client edge nodes are connected to the other virtual CE modules in the same virtual private network.
