Problems solved by technology

However, in the JMVM verification model, coding is only from the perspective of traditional space, time and signal redundancy between viewpoints, without mining the visual redundancy that exists in a large number of video images.

Embodiment Construction

[0035] The present invention will be further described in detail below in conjunction with the accompanying drawings and embodiments.

[0036] A kind of vision-based multi-viewpoint video signal coding method of the present invention is characterized in that at first the visual saliency map of the video image to be coded is established to divide the region of interest of the video image; Areas that are more interesting to the human eye are allocated more bit rates, while areas that are less interesting to the human eye are allocated less bit rates. The specific steps are as follows:

[0037] ①Calculate the luminance saliency map A of static vision I , Color saliency map A H,S and directional saliency map A θ :

[0038] A1. Record the color image currently being processed at time t in the multi-viewpoint video as C t , put the color image C t Convert to HSI color space representation, color image C t The hue components of color image C t The saturation component of is ...

Abstract

The invention discloses a multi-viewpoint video signal coding method based on vision. The method is characterized in that the interested area of a video image is divided through setting a vision significance image of a coded video image; and in the subsequent coding process, smaller coding quantization parameters are adopted at the interested areas of human eyes, while greater coding quantizationparameters are adopted at non-interested areas of human eyes. Although less code rates are distributed for the areas with lower attention of the human eyes for the method provided by the invention, the areas can not abstract the attentions from the human eyes for distortion caused by the coding, the influence to the whole quality of the image is not obvious, and simultaneously the code rates are saved greatly; and greater code rates are distributed at areas with high attention of the human eyes, and the whole subjective vision quality of decoding images can be improved, thus the efficiency ofmulti-viewpoint video signal decoding is improved.

Description

technical field [0001] The invention relates to video signal processing technology, in particular to a vision-based multi-viewpoint video signal coding method. Background technique [0002] With the development of multimedia technologies such as computer technology and graphics and image processing, especially the great progress of 3D display technology in recent years, it has gradually become possible for people to freely choose viewpoints to appreciate scenes. This Free Viewpoint Video system (FVV, Free Viewpoint Video) has broad application prospects in the fields of film and television entertainment, education, product display, medical care, security monitoring and virtual reality, and is the core of the next-generation multimedia technology. Free viewpoint video is captured by a multi-camera system, and each viewpoint independently receives video from a specific camera point in the same scene, and generates arbitrary viewpoint video through rendering technology, so that...
