The invention discloses a method for determining the flue-curing property of flue-cured tobacco, which comprises: placing fresh tobacco leaves which normally grow yellow by 70 to 80 percent and have different qualities in a constant-temperature and constant-humidity black box, and observing and recording the yellowing and browning conditions of the tobacco leaves every other 12 hours; and determining the flue-curing property of the tobacco leaves according to the yellowing time of the tobacco leaves, and determining the flue-curing resistance of the tobacco leaves according to the browning time of the tobacco leaves, wherein the determining conditions include: when the yellowing time of lower tobacco leaves is 48 to 60 hours and the yellowing time of middle and upper tobacco leaves is about 72 hours, the flue-curing property of the tobacco leaves is very high, and when the browning time of the lower tobacco leaves is over 72 hours, the browning time of the middle tobacco leaves is over 120 hours and the browning time of the upper tobacco leaves is over 60 hours, the flue-curing property of the tobacco leaves is high.
