Embodiment Construction

[0033] exist figure 1 Among them, the X-ray imaging apparatus 2 may be installed in an X-ray room of a radiation department of a hospital, where a hospital information system (HIS) 10 is used to manage various medical information including electronic charts and examination appointments. In a radiology department, a Radiology Information System (RIS) 11 manages the operation of multiple devices or medical imaging devices including CT and CT scanners and X-ray imaging devices 2, and figure 2 ) examination and information on X-ray and other radiographic images. These systems and devices are interconnected through a local area network (LAN) 12 developed in the hospital.

[0034] Such as figure 2 As shown, the doctor in diagnosis and treatment can submit an examination order 20 to the radiology department at the terminal of the HIS, and make an examination appointment. Through the HIS 10, the inspection order 20 is transmitted to the RIS 11, and the RIS 11 then transmits the ins...

Abstract

The invention relates to an apparatus, a system and a method of managing battery level of wirelessly communicable radiographic cassette. A current charge level of a battery presently used for supplying a wirelessly communicable cassette is detected and transmitted to a console of an X-ray imaging apparatus. In the console, a power consumption calculator calculates an estimated amount of power consumption by the cassette for each of received orders for inspections. When a new order for inspection is received, or one of the ordered inspections is canceled or finished, or the battery of the cassette is replaced, the last inspection until which the presently used battery can effectively supply the cassette is determined among the ordered inspections on the basis of the detected current charge level and the estimated power consumption amounts for the individual inspections, to display a message prompting to replace the presently used battery before the end of the determined last inspection.

Description

technical field [0001] The present invention relates to devices, systems and methods for managing the battery level of wireless communicable cassettes used in radiography. Background technique [0002] Radiographic imaging is widely used in the medical field. For example, radiation such as X-rays is projected to a subject or a patient, and the radiation passing through the patient's body is detected to obtain an image of the internal structure of the patient. Conventionally, a radiographic photosensitive film is exposed to the radiation to form thereon image. Now, replacing the radiographic film is a digital radiation detector called an imaging plate or a flat panel detector, which can easily provide digitized radiation images on a monitor screen. [0003] As a radiation imaging apparatus with improved operability, for example, a cassette in which a radiation detector and a wireless communication device are incorporated is disclosed in JP A 2006-043191 A . This prior art ...
