The invention provides a novel relay type corridor elevator, which comprises a closed box body that is erected on a slope direction of a corridor; the closed box body is internally provided with an upper rail, a lower rail and a rail car; the rail car comprises a frame structure, an axle sliding seat, a rotating shaft, a first torsional spring and a pedal; the axle sliding seat is fixed on the frame structure of the rail car; the rotating shaft can be rotatably arranged on the axle sliding seat; a pedal shaft of the pedal is fixedly arranged on the rotating shaft; one end of the first torsional spring is fixed on the rotating shaft, and the other end of the first torsional spring is clamped on the frame structure; the rotating shaft is connected with a pedal opening and closing driving device used for driving to rotate; the pedal shaft is provided with an externally extending section; a bearing support upright rod is correspondingly arranged on the externally extending section; and the upper end of the bearing support upright rod is provided with a pedal releasing and triggering travel switch.
