Abstract

The embodiment of the invention discloses an online water quality monitoring method and instrument. The method comprises the following steps of: obtaining adjusting parameters; determining the depth of a suction tube inserted into a container according to the adjusting parameters, wherein the depth refers to the distance from the surface of a water body to be detected in the container to the port of the suction tube; extracting the water body to be detected, which is indicated by the depth, through the suction tube; and detecting the extracted water body to be detected. By utilizing the online water quality monitoring method and instrument disclosed by the embodiment of the invention, the water level of the container is descended when the water body in the container is extracted by the suction tube; when the water level is descended to the port of the suction tube, the suction tube cannot extract the liquid in the container, i.e., the aim of quantitatively sampling through utilizing a simple step of adjusting the depth of the suction tube in the container can be achieved, so that the quantitative sampling is more accurate.
