Abstract

The invention relates to a method for cultivating an early blossoming and multiplicate rhododendron. The method comprises the following steps of: selecting rhododendron plants which do not have plant diseases and insect pests, are robust in growth vigor and are in the early flowering period, and are used as a cross breeding parent, namely Hanyin No.2 (female)* holacanthus septentrionalis (male); selecting flowers which are about to bloom in the first 20 days of April, removing petals at about 10 in the morning, leaving pistil only, pollinating and bagging; removing bags after 7 to 10 days, harvesting fruits when the fruits are yellowed in the middle ten-days of November, and sowing by taking pure peat soil as a sowing matrix in a greenhouse in the middle ten-days of December, watering fully before sowing, and covering a film and keeping moisture until seedlings emerge; after the seedlings grow to form 5 to 6 leaves, transplanting to a 72-mesh tray, recovering the seedlings, pinching once, applying 0.2 percent of Huaduoduo balance fertilizer once every 10 to 15 days; and planting in a nutritional bag after 3 to 4 months, and managing conventionally.
