Problems solved by technology

This solution solves the twin problems of lack of fresh water and electricity, but unlike what is stated in this document, it is inefficient from an energy point of view because the thermal energy stored by the steam is dissipated and not recovered
[0008] Not optimized from an energy point of view, all these solutions only allow the brine to be purified on sunny days

Embodiment Construction

[0028] In the following description, the term "unusable water" will be used to refer to any water that is dirty, and / or contains micro-organisms and / or Water used for agriculture or for consumption.

[0029] The idea of the present invention is to provide a combined production of usable water and electricity from unusable water and solar energy, which has the advantage of being renewable in an energy-optimized way with a bithermal plant. Usable water will be obtained by distillation / condensation of unusable water.

[0030] This solution has the advantage of generating more electricity than is required by the system itself to produce fresh water, which enables not only fresh water but also surplus electricity to be used for the population.

[0031] figure 2 A combined power and freshwater production system according to an embodiment of the invention is schematically shown.

[0032] The production system comprises a closed hydraulic circuit 10 in which hot water heated by ...

Abstract

The present invention discloses a system for production of exploitable water and electricity, which comprises a machine ditherme (2) that is operated through a heat source and a cold source and cooperates an AC power generator (4) for generating electricity. The machine ditherme (2) comprises an open hydraulic loop (20) which comprises an inlet (21) and a pipe, wherein the water incapable of being used enters from an inlet. The pipe guides the water incapable of being used through the machine ditherme (2). The water incapble of being used represents the cold source of the machine ditherme (2). Then the water incapable of being used flows from the pipe to an evaporator (3), and then flows to a condenser (6). Finally the water arrives at outlets (8,9) with the form of usable water. The system is characterized in that: the production system comprises a closed hydraulic loop (10); in the closed hydraulic loop, along with flowing of the thermal conduction fluid, the water receives heat from a solar collector (11) and is guided for passing through machine ditherme (2). Relative to the machine ditherme (2), the water represents a heat source.

Description

technical field [0001] The present invention relates to a system for producing usable fresh water and electricity in a combined manner, which is particularly suitable for isolated poor environments. It also relates to methods for combined production of fresh water and electricity. Background technique [0002] Per capita freshwater resources are decreasing worldwide; and, it is estimated that in 2010 approximately 1.5 billion people did not have access to electricity. Fresh water and electricity, two indicators of economic development, are not available to poor populations who typically reside with high solar potential. [0003] known by using the figure 1 A method for the production of fresh water from seawater relying on solar energy is shown in a simple apparatus comprising a container containing seawater covered by a cover that lets the sun's rays pass through, in which the temperature is greatly increased by the greenhouse effect so that Evaporation of the seawater i...
