Problems solved by technology

[0009] The present invention provides a method, system, and PCRF for adjusting user QoS policies to at least solve the problem that the inherent PCC architecture in related technologies can only send QoS policy adjustment messages from the network side to the user side, which leads to strong passivity of users and cannot be used in real time. Users need to adjust the QoS policy

Abstract

The invention discloses a method, a system and a PCRF (Policy and Charging Rules Function) for adjusting a QoS (Quality of Service) strategy of a user. The method comprises the following steps: the PCRF receives a short message from UE (User Equipment), wherein the short message carries a request for adjusting the QoS strategy of the user; and the PCRF adjusts the QoS strategy of the user according to the request, the local strategy configuration and the user subscription information. According to the method, thereby solving the problem in an intrinsic PCC (Program-Controlled Computer) architecture of relevant technologies that the user is in strong passivity and the QoS strategy cannot be adjusted according to user demands in real time as a QoS strategy adjusting message can only be transmitted to a user side from a network side; so that the user can adjust the QoS strategy in real time dynamically according to the intention of the user; and the user experience is improved.

Description

technical field [0001] The present invention relates to the field of communications, in particular, to a method, system, and policy and charging rule functional entity (Policy and Charging Rule Function, referred to as PCRF) for adjusting user Quality of Service (QoS) policies . Background technique [0002] Currently, the 3rd Generation Partnership Project (3rd Generation Partnership Project, referred to as 3GPP) defines a policy control and charging control functional framework applicable to various Internet Protocol (Internet Protocol, referred to as IP) connection access networks— —Policy Control and Charging (PCC for short) framework, PCC is used to complete resource admission control, mainly to achieve certain QoS control and charging policy control for the characteristics of mobile access networks, the main functions provided by PCC Including: implementing policy control based on user-defined information and charging control based on service data flow. The PCC is lo...
