The invention provides an egg preservation method which can firstly implement progressive cooling training on the rice leafroller eggs, then keep for a long time at the temperature of 15 DEG C and further perform progressive heating activation against the problem that rice leafrollers can not be kept with high efficiency for the long time during indoor rearing. The method is characterized in that the method comprises the following steps of: keeping the eggs laid at the temperature of 25 DEG C at 23 DEG C, 21 DEG C, 19 DEG C and 17 DEG C for 2 hours, 4 hours, 8 hours and 10 hours respectively, then placing at 15 DEG C, preserving for a certain number of days, further sequentially keeping the eggs at 17 DEG C, 19 DEG C, 21 DEG C and 23 DEG C for 2 hours, 4 hours, 8 hours and 10 hours respectively, and then hatching the eggs at 25 DEG C.
