Abstract

The invention discloses a wireless network congestion control method based on a stream control transmission protocol (SCTP) and mainly solves the problem of low network throughput when data are transmitted by using a standard SCTP in wireless channel environment. The method comprises the following steps of: (1) establishing an SCTP session; (2) performing congestion control, and updating a smooth round-trip time (Srtt) value; (3) quickly retransmitting a data packet which is reported to be lost for four times, and setting the updated Srtt value as the time of a quick retransmission timer of the data packet; and (4) when the quick retransmission timer expires, if the data packet does not receive a reply, quickly retransmitting the data packet again. The wireless network congestion control method has the advantages that by improvement of the conventional SCTP, the network throughput during data transmission is improved, and the method can be applied to wireless network environment.
