The lightning arrester body (1) is connected with a high-voltage end joint (4) through the high-voltage end connecting hardware fitting (2) and connected with a grounding end joint (5) through the grounding end connecting hardware fitting (3); a suspended plate (6) is arranged between the grounding end connecting hardware fitting (3) and the grounding end joint (5) and is respectively in fixed connection with the grounding end connecting hardware fitting (3) and the grounding end joint (5) through bolts (7). The suspended lightning arrester provided by the invention is convenient to install and has excellent electrical performance; moreover, since the suspended lightning arrester occupies a small land area, safe distances from the lightning arrester to a circuit and a tower footing are guaranteed, and therefore, safe operation of an electrical power system is guaranteed.
