Abstract

The backlighting of the inductive touch keys is achieved with a spacer layer surrounding the inductive touch sensor coil and light source on the substrate and a light transmissive layer with a suspended metal disc close to the inductive touch sensor coil. A protective tape can be placed over the light transmissive layer and the spacer layer.
