Abstract

The invention provides a light-weight remote computer out-of-band management method. A device for implementing the method comprises a camera, a keyboard and mouse simulator, a remote software resource mirror device, a secondary computer and a remote console. According to the light-weight remote computer out-of-band management method, even though a managed computer network can not be connected, an operating system breaks down, a hard disk is damaged, and even the network connection paralysis of a whole local area network occurs, a remote information technology (IT) engineer can directly operate a managed computer through a keyboard or a mouse and diagnose and repair the managed computer by the remote software resource. The light-weight remote computer out-of-band management method has the advantages that the method is simple, easy to implement and highly reliable, and facilities with low costs are merely required.
