The invention provides a high-efficiency oil-gas separator and a separation method of the oil-gas separator, belonging to the oil-gas separation field, wherein the high-efficiency oil-gas separator comprises a barrel body with an inner chamber; an exhaust pipe and an oil discharging pipe are arranged on the barrel body; an upper sealing plate for dividing the barrel body into an upper chamber and a lower chamber is arranged on inner wall of the barrel body; an arc-shaped separating chamber is arranged in the lower chamber room; an air inlet pipe communicated with one end of the arc separating chamber is arranged on the barrel body; airflow to-be-separated flows to the arc separating chamber by the air inlet pipe; an exhaust hole for enabling the separated airflow to flow out of the arc separating chamber is arranged at the bottom of the arc separating chamber; a filter is arranged in the upper chamber; an airflow hole communicated with the lower chamber is formed in the upper sealing plate; and the airflow enters the filter from the exhaust hole by the airflow hole.
