Abstract

A wire crimp-on terminal (14) comprising a crimp-on terminal main body made of an electrically conductive material and a wing section (108) extending from two opposite sides of a rear-section of the crimp-on terminal main body, for use in crimping a wire onto the rear-section of the main body. The crimp-on terminal main body comprises a crimp-on terminal first layer (102) and a crimp-on terminal second layer (103). The crimp-on terminal first layer (102) and the crimp-on terminal second layer (103) are fittingly arranged. The wing section (108) is provided with a front end (108a) and a rear end (108b). The crimp-on terminal first layer (102) and the crimp-on terminal second layer (103) start to extent overlappingly forwards from at least the front end (108a) of the wing section. The crimp-on terminal solves the problem of excessive heat being generated at the front-section of the crimp-on terminal main body when electricity is applied, and enhances the strength of a mechanical connection between a wire crimp-on area and a transition area of the crimp-on terminal.
