Abstract

The control method of rapidly finding the fault is a control method of finding single-phase earth fault in a 10kV and 35kV neutral point indirect earth system. First, a controller is designed. The controller can control multi-path circuit breakers to switch on and switch off, when finding the fault, circuit breakers of all outgoing return circuits on the spot are switched off, and then sequentially switching signals are sent to the circuit breakers. Every time when one circuit breaker is switched on, a voltage transformer placed on a bus is checked to ensure that whether the ingle-phase earth fault appears or not. If appearing, the single-phase earth fault is recorded, and the circuit switched on before is switched off again, and then other sets of circuits are sequentially switched on, and therefore all circuits with fault are found out. The controller can be achieved through a programmable logic controller (PLC), a single-chip machine and also a microcomputer.
