Abstract

The invention relates to a method and a system for warning a browser crash. The method comprises the following steps: a first crash server receives basic crash information which is sent by at least one browser client from a browser side through a GET interface when a crash occurs, processes the basic crash information and then returns a parameter to the browser client, wherein the parameter indicates whether a crash data packet of the crash is required for being uploaded; a second crash server receives the crash data packet uploaded through a POST interface of the browser side when the situation that the crash data packet is uploaded is indicated; a crash analysis result is generated according to the collected basic crash information and the automatic crash analysis on the crash data packet; and a third crash server receives the crash analysis result and returns crash warning information to the browser side. Thus, browser users can be informed of factors which may cause browser crashes or prompted to do necessary updating operations in advance so as to reduce the times of browser crashes and reduce the influence on the users caused by the crashes.
