The invention further discloses a restoring method for the core processing device. The method includes steps: loading the BOOT program stored in the nonvolatile memory into the core processor and running the BOOT program, judging whether the BOOT program runs normally or not, if yes, continuing, if not, resetting the core processor, and burning the BOOT program stored in the microprocessor into the nonvolatile memory. By the core processing device used for the vehicular terminal and the restoring method, if the BOOT program fails, connecting the device to a computer or taking down the nonvolatile memory stored with the BOOT program for burning the BOOT program is not needed, so that difficulty in restoring the BOOT program is lowered.
