Abstract

The invention discloses an application of nerol in preparing a banana flower thrip inducing agent. Nerol is active as active component of the inducing agent. When the inducing agent is used for inducing the banana flower thrip, the volume percentage concentration of nerol is 10-20%. An experiment of inducing the banana flower thrip through a Y-shaped tube shows that when the inducing agent is a paraffin oil solution of nerol which is 10-20% in volume percentage concentration, an average inducing rate on banana flower thrip adult insects is 90.00-76.67%; and in a field induction experiment, within 10d of treating through the paraffin oil solution of nerol which is 10% in volume percentage concentration, the inducing effect on the banana flower thrip adult insects is remarkably higher than that on banana bud, yellow sticky colored card and water. Nerol can be used for indicating occurrence and occurrence quantity of banana flower thrip in advanced in bud stage, and indicating to use an insecticide to prevent and control the banana flower thrip in the field.

Description

technical field [0001] The invention relates to a new application of nerol, in particular to the application of nerol in the preparation of an attractant for thrips japonica. Background technique [0002] Banana flower thrips [Thrips hawaiiensis (Morgan)] belongs to Thysanoptera Thripaceae, flower thrips genus, is an important pest of bananas, citrus, banyan and other plants flowering period, widely distributed in the eastern part of the world, the Pacific region and the southern United States, In recent years, there have been serious outbreaks in banana producing areas in southern my country. Banana flower thrips takes flower buds as the center of activity in banana orchards, and gathers from the outside after banana buds emerge, which rapidly increases the number of thrips invading flower buds. Because the female adults of Banana flower thrips like to lay eggs in the young tender ovary epidermis of the flower, the plant tissue around the eggs is stimulated and grows abnorm...
