Abstract

The invention relates to an adjusting device for a friction clutch of a motor vehicle, having a clutch cover for at least partly covering a pressure plate for pressing a clutch disk between the pressure plate and a counter plate and having a pinion that is connected to a spindle in order to rotate the spindle. A spindle nut is screwed onto the spindle in order to relatively rotate a ramp ring in a circumferential direction with respect to a counter ramp that slides down on the ramp ring in order to adjust an incorrect spacing between the pressure plate and the counter plate, said spacing being caused by wear. Furthermore, a pawl plate that is supported on the clutch cover is provided with a driving pawl that engages into the pinion in order to rotate the pinion. The adjusting device further has a spacer bolt that is connected to the pawl plate in order to reduce a spring tension between the driving pawl and the pinion by at least partly raising the pawl plate from the clutch cover in the case of a component that strikes against the spacer bolt. According to the invention, the spindle nut can be coupled to the ramp ring via a spacer, said spacer having a limiting stop for striking against the spacer bolt. Thus, it is not necessary for an actuating element to strike the spacer bolt, and therefore the design of the adjusting device can be simplified and structural freedoms are allowed in the positioning of functional parts of the adjusting device.
