The bookshelf for the vehicle comprises a book supporting plate, a connecting part and a concave region, wherein the book supporting plate is used for supporting books and periodicals during reading, two ends of the connecting part are respectively connected with the book supporting plate and a back plate of a seat, the back plate supports the book supporting plate through the connecting part during reading, and the concave region is located on the back plate and can accommodate the book supporting plate through shape design. The connecting part is provided with an extensible structure, a distance between the book supporting plate and the back plate which are connected to two ends of the connecting part is adjusted through stretching and withdrawing performed by the extensible structure, and accordingly the book supporting plate is accommodated in the concave region. The book supporting plate of the bookshelf extends out of the concave region during reading and then is accommodated into the concave region after reading, so that the bookshelf suitable for the inside of the vehicle and occupying a small space is provided for passengers.
