Embodiment Construction

[0039] Specific embodiments of the present invention will be described in detail below in conjunction with the accompanying drawings.

[0040] A method for correcting distortion of a fisheye image suitable for a wall-mounted panoramic camera, comprising the following steps:

[0041] (1) The rectangular panoramic image output by the panoramic camera is the original input image, and the Cartesian coordinate system XOY is established based on the original input image:

[0042] Take the upper left corner point of the original input image as the origin O of the rectangular coordinate system, the horizontal side is the X axis, and the vertical side is the Y axis; the center point of the original input image is E (Xe, Ye); set the height and width of the original input image H and W respectively, then H and W are equal to the vertical and horizontal pixel values of the original input image; in practical applications, the four points of the original input image can be used as the or...

Abstract

A fish-eye lens is widely applied in an imaging system. However, serious distortion exists in an image formed through the fish-eye lens, thereby affecting the effect of the image. Existing methods for correcting the fish-eye image distortion do not take the factor of time delay into consideration, one frame of time delay is generally caused by the realization of the methods, and therefore practical application of the algorithms is limited. The invention relates to a fish-eye image fast correction algorithm applicable to a wall-mounted panoramic video camera, and provides a time delay-free method for correcting the fish-eye image distortion. The method is characterized in that according to the distortion features of a panoramic image shot by the wall-mounted panoramic video camera, correction is conducted on the panoramic image only in the horizontal direction, the panoramic image is kept unchanged in the vertical direction, and therefore the calculation of the correction algorithm is simplified. In the horizontal direction, correction parameters of each line in the original distorted image are found out, and the correction is conducted line by line. The experimental result indicates that the method used for correcting the fish-eye image distortion can effectively reduce distortion effects, the time delay is the magnitude of one line, and the method can be conveniently applied to an embedded system.

Description

technical field [0001] The invention relates to the technical field of digital image processing, in particular to a fast distortion correction method for a fisheye image of a wall-mounted panoramic camera. Background technique [0002] At present, in the field of security monitoring, a large number of cameras are installed in various places such as government agencies, factories, banks, hotels, prisons, port terminals, urban main roads, residential areas, and corridors. Moreover, in other fields such as video conferencing, distance education, robot navigation, military investigation, and reversing images, cameras are also being used in ever-expanding applications. With the development of science and technology, there are more and more types and functions of security surveillance cameras, the pixels of the cameras are getting higher and higher, and the field of view is getting bigger and bigger. Among them, the wall-mounted panoramic camera has the widest application. [00...
