Abstract

The broadband light source comprises a first optical splitter, a first wavelength division multiplexer, an ytterbium doped fiber, an isolator and a second optical splitter which are sequentially connected. The first wavelength division multiplexer is further connected with a pump. The broadband light source is characterized in that the isolator is connected in an optical fiber ring of the first wavelength division multiplexer. As an improvement of the broadband light source, the second wavelength division multiplexer is connected between the first wavelength division multiplexer and the pump. Due to the adoption of the technical scheme, the self-excitation phenomenon occurring when power of the structure of the optical fiber ring plus a single-stage amplifying structure ASE is larger than 20mW is avoided. Spectrum of the broadband light source is less than 2dB in flatness in positions of 1040-1085nm, so that the broadband light source is flatter and more practical than a double-stage structure.
