The invention relates to a tunnel LED lighting dimming device which comprises a master controller, n LED tunnel lamps and a serial bus. The master controller and the LED tunnel lamps form a closed-loop communication return circuit through the serial bus, wherein n is a natural number lager than 1. The invention further relates to a dimming method of the tunnel LED lighting dimming device. According to the method, the master controller sends an LED tunnel lamp address code generation command through an output interface of the serial bus, and all the LED tunnel lamps save address codes generated by the LED tunnel lamps respectively; the master controller can send a dimming command of any of the LED tunnel lamps through the output interface of the serial bus; the LED tunnel lamps can send out an alarm command through the output interface of the serial bus. According to the tunnel LED lighting dimming device and dimming method, by forming the closed-loop communication return circuit through the design of double communication ports of the master controller and the LED tunnel lamps, a dynamic address coding method of the LED tunnel lamps is achieved, great convenience is brought to dimming, reliability is greatly improved, and communication distances are not limited any more.
