The strain gauge 120 measures the load (eg, axial or transverse or both) on the brake rod 110 . Brake lever 110 is not limited to any particular type of vehicle. Each wheel and brake assembly may include a wheel, a rotor disc that rotates about the wheel and a stator disc that is fixed against rotation relative to a brake head or housing. A brake lever, which may be connected to the brake head and the landing strut, is used to prevent rotation of the brake head during braking of the aircraft.
