The method comprises the following steps: a request generated in advance for installing a plug-in is received; the plug-in carries a function code with a communication protocol, installation-unloading-guiding-type codes and plug-in configuration files; the plug-in is obtained and verification is carried out; when the verification is determined to pass, the codes of the plug-in are loaded in to a system operation environment through a dynamic loading mode; the plug-in configuration files are read, and communication protocol configuration information is generated in a system database according to the configuration files; communication is carried out among the different platforms according to the communication protocol configuration information. According to the method disclosed by the application, the plug-in is loaded in the system operation in a dynamic mode, and short message services need not to be paused, so that normal usage of users is not influenced.
