The present invention relates to a streaming potential online measuring instrument probe lower piston improved design, namely a new design of a probe lower piston. The new design of the invention includes an electrode, an electrode check ring, a lower piston boss, a check ring upper surface and an interval. The reason of the collision of the lower piston and the electrode, the electrode check ring (Figure 2) is that the interval between the lower piston and the electrode, the electrode check ring is too small, wherein the interval is defined by a streaming potential measurement principle and cannot be arbitrarily changed. In order to increase the interval without the streaming potential measurement principle broken, the diameter of a part of the lower piston that collides with the electrode and the electrode check ring (Figure 2) is needed to be decreased, such that the lower piston which performs up-and-down movement and back-and-forth swing simultaneously cannot contact with the electrode and the electrode check ring (Figure 2), and therefore, the collision of the lower piston and the electrode, the electrode check ring (Figure 2) can be avoided, and the service life of a probe can be prolonged.
