Abstract

The invention discloses a method for controlling the rotation speed of an engine of a drilling machine. The method includes the first step of classifying the rotation speeds of the engine into the low gear, the top gear and the intermediate gear between the top gear and the low gear, and the second step of controlling the rotation speed of the engine according to the working conditions of the drilling machine, wherein the engine works at the low gear when the drilling machine is in an idling and running condition. A low gear branch circuit, an intermediate gear branch circuit and a top gear branch circuit are arranged in an engine control system, and the corresponding rotation speed which the engine can work at can be controlled by switching on one branch circuit and switching off the other two branch circuits simultaneously. The invention further discloses a corresponding system for controlling the rotation speed of the engine of the drilling machine. The rotation speeds of the engine are subdivided into three gears, and the working conditions of the drilling machine are subdivided into an idling working state and the other six working conditions.
