Abstract
The invention discloses a preparation prepared from active fractions of baikal skullcap root and fortune's drynaria rhizome for treating periodontitis. The preparation comprises the following raw material components in parts by mass: 10-15 parts of baikal skullcap root active fraction water extract containing over 80 percent of baicalein and 5-10 parts of fortune's drynaria rhizome active fraction water extract containing over 30.71 percent of naringin. The raw material components are prepared into 'baikal skullcap root-fortune's drynaria rhizome tooth-strengthening capsules' for systemic administration, or novel external Chinese medicinal long-acting compound ointment, namely, 'baikal skullcap root-fortune's drynaria rhizome tooth-strengthening ointment' by adding auxiliary materials such as hydroxyethyl cellulose, concentrated glycerol and polyacrylic resin. The preparation is easy for local injector type administration on periodontal pocket. The preparation has a good treatment effect on periodontitis, and has the characteristics of small prescription dosage, remarkable curative effect and no any toxic and side effects. In particular, after the preparation is applied locally for a long time, the anti-inflammation effect is similar to that of minocycline hydrochloride ointment (periocline), but the bone-forming effect is remarkably superior to that of the periocline. The preparation is an oral Chinese patent medicine of a new dosage form with long residual action and usability similar to Western medicine.
