Abstract

The invention provides a transparent display device. The transparent display device comprises a backlight module, a display panel and a switching panel. The backlight module comprises a light source and a light guide board. The display panel is arranged on the light emergent surface of the light guide board. The switching panel and the backlight module are arranged on the same side of the display panel. The switching panel comprises a first substrate, a second substrate, a polymer dispersion liquid crystal layer, a first electrode layer and a second electrode layer, wherein the second substrate is opposite to the first substrate, the polymer dispersion liquid crystal layer is arranged between the first substrate and the second substrate, the first electrode layer is arranged between the first substrate and the polymer dispersion liquid crystal layer, and the second electrode layer is arranged between the polymer dispersion liquid crystal layer and the second substrate. The first substrate is divided into a plurality of first electrode patterns which are separated from one another and electrically independent of one another.
