The permanent magnet temperature on-line detection method comprises the steps that the rotating speed and the counter electromotive force of the permanent magnet motor are acquired; the temperature value of a permanent magnet is obtained through calculation according to a preset temperature calculating rule, the rotating speed and the counter electromotive force, and the preset temperature calculating rule represents the corresponding relation of the rotating speed, the counter electromotive force and the temperature value of the permanent magnet. In the detection process, only the rotating speed and the counter electromotive force of the permanent magnet motor need to be acquired and calculated, the temperature of the permanent magnet can be directly obtained, the measuring method is simple, the testing amount is small, and the testing time is short. Moreover, due to the fact that high-cost devices such as a thermal infrared imager do not need to be used, and the testing cost is lowered.
