[0024] An advantageous example of a dry powder inhaler is shown in the attached drawing. The inhaler comprises a main body 10 on which two parts 11 , 12 forming a cover are slidably mounted, said parts being adapted to be opened to open and stow the device. The body 10 may be approximately circular, as shown in the figures, although the body may have any other suitable shape. The body 10 comprises a mouthpiece or suction nipple 5 defining a dispensing orifice through which the user will inhale upon actuation of the device. The dispensing hole is typically arranged approximately in the center of the upper part of the body (in the position shown on the figures). The covers 11, 12 can be opened by pivoting about a common axis of rotation or about two parallel axes by engaging one with the other. Any other opening part of the device can be designed. As a variant, the device may comprise only a single cover instead of two covers.
