Abstract

The invention discloses a method and system for using an xml file and a mib to complete network device configuration and relates to the technical field of network management. The method comprises the steps of editing a configuration file of a network device in a mib node configuration mode, recording and saving snmp attribute information and mib configuration information through the xml file, reading and resolving the xml file when the network device is required to be configured, establishing a device management object, endowing the snmp attribute information to the current device management object, reading the mib configuration information of mib nodes in the xml file and configuring the device management object according to the current mib configuration information and the snmp attribute information. The method and system for using the xml file and the mib to complete the network device configuration is low in requirement for a network management system, wide in application range, capable of being compatible with device configuration of different manufacturers, high in working speed and working efficiency, capable of saving manpower resources and simple in operation and facilitate usage of people.
