Abstract

The invention provides a linear temperature sensor with a spare circuit. The linear temperature sensor mainly includes temperature sensing cables with two ends being connected with a microcomputer modulator. The temperature sensing cables are formed by arranging a heat-sensitive material layer with a negative temperature coefficient between and on the periphery of two metal detection conductors and then arranging a metal shielding layer on the outer side of the heat-sensitive material layer. When a short circuit occurs on the detection conductors of the linear temperature sensor with the spare circuit, the microcomputer modulator can normally monitor a temperature sensing fire detection alarm of the temperature sensing cables after sending a short-circuit failure alarm signal. The linear temperature sensor provided by the invention has the advantages that when the short circuit occurs between the metal detection conductors, the microcomputer modulator can start borrowing the metal shielding layer of the temperature sensing cables as the spare detection circuit while sending the alarm signal of the short-circuit failure between the detection conductors, so as to continuously perform the temperature sensing fire detection; therefore, the function of continuously performing the temperature sensing fire detection after the short-circuit failure is additionally provided; the linear temperature sensor is relatively high in safety and reliability.
