Abstract

A device used for a punching tool and monitoring the breakage of a machining tool mounted in a tool comprises: an air pressure supply device; a first pressure switch having a predetermined switching pressure; and a monitoring cylinder barrel having a touch piston. The touch piston comprises a piston rod and is contained in the monitoring cylinder barrel, and divides a first space between the piston and the first end of the monitoring cylinder barrel and a second space between the piston and the second end of the monitoring cylinder barrel. The touch piston has a predetermined travel between the first end and the second end, a critical position is set for the touch piston, and the touch piston abuts against the machining tool at the critical position.
