The object depth information acquisition method comprises the following implementing steps: 1, designing the single-frame compound template P; 2, utilizing the single-frame compound template to obtain a deformed image I; 3, demodulating from the deformed image I to obtain two frames of period co-prime square wave templates I1' and I'2; 4, calculating truncation phases Phi1 and Phi2 of each pixel point in the two frames of square wave templates by a Gabor filter; 5, by the truncation phases Phi1 and Phi2, solving a truncation phase development value phi; 6, solving a matched point (x, y) of a pixel point (x', y') in the deformed image I in the single-frame compound template P by phi; 7, according to a geometrical relationship of the pixel point and the matched point, solving a depth information value of an object to be measured.
