Medical laboratory report message gateway

ActiveUS20080270438A1Fault responseDigital data processing detailsMedical laboratoryBioinformatics databases
A gateway enables medical (including genetic and genomic) laboratories and health care providers (collectively “clients”) to communicate electronic messages with each other without developing and maintaining an interface for each peer. The gateway translates messages sent between the parties. The gateway receives messages from each sender in a form, and containing diagnostic codes, preferred by the sender. For each received message, the gateway ascertains an intended receiving client. Each client may specify one or more receivers (such as applications) that are to receive messages sent to the client, as well as a separate form, and optionally a set of codes, for each receiver. For each receiver, the gateway generates translated messages, according to the receiver's preferred form and/or codes. The gateway sends the translated messages to each of the designated receivers. The gateway may include a validation component to check incoming messages to ensure the messages include required information and that information values are valid or acceptable. The gateway may include an exception handler that notifies a sending client if a message from the client fails to be translated or sent correctly. The gateway may maintain a repository in which the gateway stores copies of messages the gateway sent or would have sent to clients. The gateway provides an interface, such as a secure web interface, to this repository. Clients may access messages or lists of messages, especially messages the clients are not otherwise capable of receiving, through this interface. The gateway may store copies of some of the data that flows through the gateway in a bioinformatics database, which may be automatically analyzed by the gateway or queried for research or patient care purposes.

Robot vision servo control method based on image mixing moment

The invention discloses a robot vision servo control method based on the image mixing moment. Firstly, construction of mixing moment features in one-to-one correspondence with space attitudes after target object imaging under the robot expected pose is given; and then a target object image is obtained under any attitude, the current mixing moment feature information value is calculated, the deviation of the mixing moment feature value is calculated according to information of an expected image and information of the current image, if the deviation is smaller than the preset threshold value, itis shown that the robot achieves the expected pose, if the deviation is not smaller than the threshold value, an image jacobian matrix relevant to the mixing moment features is deducted, a vision servo robot is used so that the robot can move towards the expected pose till the feather deviation is smaller than the preset threshold value, and the control process is over. By means of the robot vision servo control method, the image field mixing moment feature corresponding to the space movement track of the robot is introduced in to serve as the control input, vision servo control of a eye-in-hand robot system under the working space model unknown circumstance is completed, and the method can be widely applied to robot intelligent control based on machine vision.

3D time-of-flight camera and method

The present invention relates to a 3D time-of-flight camera and a corresponding method for acquiring information about a scene, in particular for acquiring depth images of a scene, information about phase shifts between a reference signal and incident radiation of a scene or environmental information about the scene. To increase the frame rate, the proposed camera comprises a radiation source (12) that generates and emits electromagnetic radiation (13) for illuminating said scene (2), a radiation detector (14) that detects electromagnetic radiation (15a, 15b) reflected from said scene (2), said radiation detector (14) comprising one or more pixels (16), in particular an array of pixels, wherein said one or more pixels individually detect electromagnetic radiation reflected from said scene, wherein a pixel comprises two or more detection units (161-1, 161-2, ...) each detecting samples of a sample set of two or more samples and an evaluation unit (18) that evaluates said sample sets of said two or more detection units and generates scene-related information from said sample sets, wherein said evaluation unit comprises a rectification unit (20) that rectifies a subset of samples of said sample sets by use of a predetermined rectification operator defining a correlation between samples detected by two different detection units of a particular pixel, and an information value calculator (22) that determines an information value of said scene-related information from said subset of rectified samples and the remaining samples of the sample sets.
