Embodiment Construction

[0053] The invention proposes a signal detection scheme in a low-complexity MIMO system, and its core idea is to improve the tree search process of the breadth-first SD algorithm. When expanding child nodes for each layer of surviving nodes, divide the surviving nodes of the same layer into at least two groups, and expand the child nodes for each group of surviving nodes, so that the number of child nodes expanded by the surviving nodes in the same group is the same, and the cumulative metric value is large The number of children expanded by the surviving node in the group is less than the number of children expanded by the surviving node in the group with a small cumulative metric value.

[0054] Since the number of child nodes expanded in each layer is smaller than that of the prior art, the computation load of tree search is reduced, and the complexity of hardware implementation is reduced. Since the path of the surviving node with a small cumulative metric value is more li...

Abstract

Disclosed are a method and apparatus for signal detection in an MIMO system. The method comprises: searching layer by layer a tree structure that is equivalent to the signal vector of the MIMO system, wherein when child node expansion is performed on surviving nodes on each layer of the tree structure, the surviving nodes are divided into at least two groups according to the ranking of cumulative metric values, the surviving nodes of the same group have the same number of expanded child nodes, and the number of the expanded child nodes of the surviving nodes in the group with larger cumulative metric values is smaller than the number of expanded child nodes of the surviving nodes in the group with smaller cumulative metric values; outputting a number K of surviving paths reserved after the layer-by-layer search is completed and the surviving nodes corresponding to the number K of surviving paths; and accordingly determining the soft bit result of detection. The operand of tree search is reduced as the number of child nodes expanded on each layer decreases. Since the path on which the surviving nodes with smaller cumulative metric values are located is more likely to be the ultimate surviving path, the technical solution provided in the embodiment of the present invention has no impact on detection performance.

Description

technical field [0001] The present invention relates to the technical field of wireless communication, in particular to a detection method and device for a multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) system. Background technique [0002] The rapid growth of high-speed wireless data access services and the number of users requires the support of higher-speed, larger-capacity wireless links, and the most fundamental factor determining the transmission performance of wireless links is channel capacity. Spatial multiplexing MIMO technology effectively improves the channel capacity and is the core technology of the Long Term Evolution (LTE) system. [0003] For the detection of spatial multiplexing MIMO systems, existing detection algorithms mainly include linear detection, sequence interference cancellation (SIC) detection, and maximum likelihood detection (ML). [0004] The hardware implementation complexity of the linear detection algorithm and the SIC algorithm is relatively low, ...
