The main transformer fire extinguishing system comprises a rainwater collection device, a main transformer chamber with a main transformer, a fire extinguishing water tank, spraying nozzles and a fire detector which are positioned in the main transformer chamber, a controller electrically connected with the fire detector, wherein the spraying nozzles are positioned right over the main transformer; a water feeding pipeline connected with the rainwater collection device and a water discharging pipeline connected with the spraying nozzles are arranged in the fire extinguishing water tank; a spraying valve is arranged on the water discharging pipeline and is electrically connected with the controller. The fire detector is used for detecting a fire sign in the main transformer chamber and sending collected information to the controller; the controller drives the spraying valve to be opened; rainwater of the rainwater collection device enters the spraying nozzles through the fire extinguishing water tank and is sprayed from the spraying nozzles, so that early extinguishing of the fire can be realized, and a fire accident is prevented; furthermore, the rainwater is fresh water and cannot corrode all the devices, and the service life of the main transformer fire extinguishing system of the maritime booster station is guaranteed.
