Abstract

The invention relates to an adaptive method for assisting tire inflation enabling improved control of the tire inflation. If the vehicle is parked, the central unit of the TPMS (Tire Pressure Monitoring System) can change in an adaptive manner from the receiving configuration in "rolling" mode at high bit rate to "stationary" mode at low bit rate. At the same time, if the tire pressure changes, the corresponding wheel unit is set to transmit in "stationary" mode at a low bit rate. The power (Pa) received at the central unit varies along a curve ( 20 ), which in the illustrated example shows two locations of poor reception ( 21 and 22 ).
