Abstract

The invention provides a positioning information assistance-based massive multi-input multi-output beamforming method. The objective of the invention is to solve the problem of high computational complexity in an existing massive multi-input multi-output beamforming method. The method includes the following steps that: (1) a user terminal obtains positioning information of the user terminal itself and sends the positioning information to a base station; (2) the base station obtains its own positioning information; (3) the base station calculates a direction of arrival according to the positioning information of the base station itself and the positioning information of the user terminal; and (4) the base station calculates beamforming vectors according to the direction of arrival. According to the positioning information assistance-based massive multi-input multi-output beamforming method of the invention, a massive MIMO (multi-input multi-output) beamforming method and positioning technologies are combined together, and therefore, the positioning information assistance-based massive multi-input multi-output beamforming method has the advantages of simple operation, small information feedback amount, short time delay, large system capacity and simple communication protocol, and can realize beamforming transmission of a massive MIMO system under an outdoor environment.
